- Why am I not able to upload my video to Whova?
You will have to upload a link to your presentation, not the actual recording. Detailed directions on obtaining the link can be found on the poster presentation page.
- Is there a template I should use for my presentation?
No. There is no template for your presentation. Presenters are free to decide how they would like to showcase their research.
- I'm presenting an oral presentation in-person. Do I need to prepare a pre-recorded presentation?
All presenters will be expected to create and upload a pre-recorded presentation. This video is being provided for participants who are unable to attend the live presentation.
- I'm presenting an oral presentation. Do I need to upload my presentation slides in advance?
All oral presenters (both online and in-person) are required to upload their presentation slides to the conference website (Indico).
- Can I present more than one abstract?
Each registered attendee can be presenter for a maximum of two submissions, either one oral presentation and one poster presentation, or two poster presentations.
- I am unable to attend in person; can I present my poster online?
Yes! You can present and view posters digitally. More information on the conference format, including online posters can be found on the Hybrid Conference Format page.
- Will online presenters have to record their presentation or will presenters give a live presentation?
Online presenters will be required to give their presentation live. They are also asked to make a pre-recorded version so that anyone attending the conference can view it their convenience, and in the case of technical difficulties during live sessions.
- Will sessions be recorded in the event that I am unable to join live?
Sessions will not be recorded, but all presenters are asked to provide a pre-recorded presentation so that it can be viewed at any time. Chat features within Whova, the conference app, will also allow presenters to connect with their audience for Q&A and discussions at any time.
- Will it be possible to watch presentations after the conference?
Pre-recorded presentations will be available to view before, during and after the conference.
Abstracts
- Is it still possible to submit an abstract for an oral presentation?
The official deadline for submission of abstracts for oral presentations has passed. However, abstracts are in the process of being reviewed and so it is possible that it would be accepted for review. Poster submissions are welcome up until 09 May. You may submit your abstract here.
- I'm not sure if I will be attending online or in-person. Can I change my mind?
Yes! You can also choose "unsure" in the abstract submission form. This question is not binding; it is solely for our continuing planning purposes.
- How can I submit an abstract?
In order to submit an abstract for InterPore2022, you will first need to sign in using your email and password. Please note that the conference website account is independent of the society membership account. If you do not have conference account in the Indico system, you can create one here.
Navigate to the Call for Abstracts page. Please read through the notes and instructions carefully. At the bottom of the page, click on the blue Submit New Abstract button. A pop-up window will appear. Fill in the fields as directed in the instructions from the Call for Abstracts page. When all of the required fields have been filled, you may click the button at the bottom to submit your abstract. Upon submission, you should receive an email confirmation.
- How do I find my submitted abstracts?
You can view your submitted abstracts by navigating back to the Call for Abstracts page. All of your submissions will be shown at the bottom of the page.
- Who owns the copyright of my abstract?
InterPore holds no copyright over any abstracts or presented work; ownership is retained by its author(s).
- Is there a conference paper?
Conference proceedings are not published. A book of abstracts is available to download post-conference; ISSN/ISBN/DOI are not obtained. However, special issues are put together by some co-organizers in direct coordination with journal publishers. More details can be found on the Special Issues page.
Registration
- Can I get an invoice/receipt for my payment?
You can download a copy of your invoice/receipt directly from the "My Conference" page of the conference website.
- How can I change my registration from online to in-person (or from in-person to online)?
You are able to modify your registration until it has been paid. You can do so here or from the My Conference page. To make changes after payment has been made, please contact us at conference2022@interpore.org and we'll be glad to assist you in making any changes.
- I registered for an in-person participation but am no longer able to attend in Abu Dhabi. Can I change my registration to online?
In the event the registered participant is unable to travel to Abu Dhabi, InterPore2022 registration for in-person participation may be changed to online participation. Changes to the registration may be made by notifying InterPore at secretary@interpore.org at the earliest opportunity. In the case of notifications on or before Saturday, 30 April 2022, the conference organizers reserve the right to refund the difference in registration fee paid minus a €20 administration fee and any bank transfer fee incurred. After 30 April, the difference in registration fee will not be refunded.
- Can I add an event, short course or companion ticket after I've already registered?
You are able to modify your registration until it has been paid. You can do so here or from the My Conference page. To make changes after payment has been made, please contact us at conference2022@interpore.org and we'll be glad to assist you in making any changes.
- I can no longer attend the event; can I get a refund?
Registration fees can not be refunded. You may transfer your registration to someone else. Please contact us at conference2022@interpore.org to do so. Complete details on our cancellation policy can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

- Do I need a visa to enter Abu Dhabi?
Please refer to the visa & entry information page on our website. We are unable to provide specific guidance on visa requirements. If needed, you can obtain a visa letter from InterPore by emailing secretary@interpore.org.
Abu Dhabi Hotels
- Where should I stay in Abu Dhabi?
InterPore has negotiated discounted rates at the two official conference hotels. Free shuttle services will be provided to and from the two conference hotels and the conference venue.
